Help with Baby Shower
A friend of mine is 7 months pregnant (she is the first in our group of Somali friends...so exciting) and we are going to have her Baby Shower this coming Friday. Me and my cousins are organizing it and we sort of ran out of ideas of what to do...since this is the first one we're setting & attending basically.
I'm thinking of getting a baby book and passing it around so that everyone can write something for the baby & Mama -to-be. The food & gifts are taken care of & pretty easy to do anyway.
What I need your help in is figuring out the entertainment portion. What kind of games should we do?
Something simple and fun & pregnancy or baby related.

A baby book sounds very cool and would make beautiful memories.
I don't really know much about baby shower games but I've been to one where friends brought an album from home and compared dreadful (but funny) pics. So many memories, people forgotten, shared friends and so on.

Really sweet of you to be organising a baby shower for your friend. Only thing is, I didn't realise there was such a thing as a baby shower for Somalis.
I would love to help, but I can't think of any baby/pregnancy related games.

Aya...good idea about the pics. Maybe I'll also ask the Mama to bring her & Daddy to be's baby pics & start a scrapbook for her...compare & imagine how their baby would look like.

Firefly, with Adam & Noah...I thought you were the lady to go to with everything baby. Apparently not.
I know Somalis don't do baby shower...but we do visit the new mum & give presents but its often after the birth of the baby. With us all going to school & work..this Friday works best for everyone's schedules. And last week b4 school starts..sigh.

Anyway, it is easy enough to entertain babies, but I wouldn't know what to do with adults.

Lone looool,hey i actually thought i had a kid and i actually wanted to say something.Truelly though,this is my first time am hearing about the baby shower sort.The idea u suggested (writting stuff for the baby in a book) sounds very nice and trust me,i wouldn't even know it if u hadn't mentioned.Geez i don't know much.

lol hmmm entairtainment? lol well maybe u guys could play games like "what not to do with your baby" lol something silly like that, but shah some cookies and good o'le gossip? who can complain? lol

i was there for her suprise engangement party, flew all da way back from europe to be at her wedding, i cant believe im missing this next step in our frnds life!! i honestly wish i could be der!! tell her i send my wishes OK!!! plz DONT forget aight!!

Thanks, yeah feeling okay :) The feelings come and go.
Idil...no complaints! Nothing better than a bunch of girls getting together for a gab fest...but want to have a little fun too!

i heard ya'll did tacsi for S instead of the baby shower. has any 1 gone to see H yet?? i feel sooo bad for their famz. and i saw S's uncle when she was here. Allah u naxariisto both of them.
