God rest her soul...
The 22 year old Somali mother of two (5 months pregnant with her second) that died on the MN bridge collapse made me think of my mortality and deeply examine my life more than anyone or event ever has. I guess because at the back of my head runs the frightening thought that 'It could have been me'. This tragedy is just so unexpected and out of the blue...it really could happen to anyone at anytime. She also looks like someone I know...someone very familiar. She looks like a friend, a family member, and in a way me. I pray that Allah forgives her, grants her Jannah Firdaws, and gives sabr to her family.
Her two year old daughter Hana was pulled from the river four days ago...she was the only child to have died in the collapse.
Heartbreaking.

MINNEAPOLIS, Minnesota (CNN) -- The bodies of a 22-month-old girl and her mother have been recovered from the rubble of the I-35W bridge collapse, the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office said Friday.
The remains were found Thursday.
Hana Sahal was in a car with her mother, Sadiya Sahal, 22 -- a nursing student from Somalia -- when it plunged into the Mississippi River, said Omar Jamal, a spokesman for the family. Photo See photos of victims of the collapse »
Sadiya Sahal died of blunt-force and penetrating abdominal injuries. Hana, the only child believed to be a casualty of the disaster, died of blunt-force head injuries, according to the county medical examiner's Web site.
Authorities informed Sahal's family Thursday that the child had died, said Jamal, director of the Somali Justice Advocacy Center. The family was told Friday that Sadiya Sahal's body was identified.
Funerals for both are planned for Saturday, Jamal said Friday night. Sadiya Sahal was five months pregnant, he said.

What a hideous tragedy for her and her family. May God rest her soul and that of her children.
It's easy to forget that we could die at any moment, and in a frightening manner. We truly have only this present moment.
