Bloedel Conservatory

I remember this day perfectly. I explored the Bloedel Conservatory, a dome shaped tropical paradise filled with exotic plants, lush tropical flowers, and various eye catching birds. For close to two hours I was completely surrounded by a rainbow explosion of beauty, calmness and rare silence. Everyone moved around in a slow pace, talked in hushed tones, broken here and there by the click of hundreds of photos being taken. It was so beautiful and I can’t believe it took me years to see this place that has been 30 minutes from my house. I know that V-City has so much more to offer outside my house and I just need to find someone whose willing to go places with me.

Unfortunately I’m the only adventurous person in my circle of friends and family. On that day, I decided to go by myself because no one else wanted to after I asked. I was mad but after experiencing that quite tranquility, I was at peace. The anger faded, and I realized that all I needed was a bus ticket, a camera, and just myself.

I hope I never forget that.
