Somenglish
Leafing through my mother’s phonebook, I came across, a contact name that made me laugh and remember wistfully back to all the somenglish blunders I and many other Somalis had made in our torturous path toward learning English.
In her plain, distinctively large print she had written: Salafeshin Armi.
