Love is...

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. 1 Corinthians 13:4
I have always loved this quote. But it's not really realistic is it? Love does hurt, it's self seeking, it's sometimes rude and unkind, it envies for sure, and it abso-freaking-lutely angers. The person I love most in the world is my dear mother, but that quote doesn't apply to us at all.

I think love is saying your sorry with words or actions. We all have our flaws and ugly moments - but love is knowing that at the end of the day you can turn to that person and know that they won't reject you. And the other person knows that it's your attitude and behavior that's horrible at that moment...not you.

Love is not perfect. And I don't think I would want it to be.

That's too much pressure.
